3-Day Gliding Course

Have you ever wanted to learn to fly a glider, but are too busy at weekends? Bidford Gliding Club has started running courses mid-week to fulfil this need.We started with mid-week instruction for our new members, but have had enquiries for running a 3-day course for people who are undecided about taking up gliding and want to have an in-depth course to help them decide.

Come and experience gliding in open airspace nearby the Cotswold Countryside offering a beautiful area to fly and holiday

Our instructors spend time getting the student familiar with the glider and its controls and then explains what happens during the flight. This includes a safety briefing. All our two-person gliders are equipped with full dual controls, so the experience is both safe and enjoyable.

What the course offers

• A warm welcome and an introduction to the sport of gliding and safety briefing with video

• Full Instructional courses including lectures and briefings with a varied day agenda to suit weather conditions

• 3-day course. Price £499 each , excluding Catering and Accommodation

• Temporary Membership, log book and progress card 

• Average of three 2,000 feet aero-tow launches per day in one of our modern two seat gliders 

• A great experience
