A great day’s gliding

Sunday 14th May was a great day for flying from Bidford. We had a number of Experience flights, including 3 Mile High trips. In addition there were a number of Check Flights for solo pilots who had not flown for a while. In addition there were some Solo pilots who wanted to see how far they could go as well as a large number of Instruction Flights, including 2 new members. The Power craft also took advantage of the weather to take some classic aircraft for a trip.

So big thanks to the Tug Pilot, Colin, our masterful Instructor, Graham, and the highly organised launch team for managing 22 launches early in the season…more to come I am sure!

Colin (Tug Pilot) and Graham (Instructor) starting a full day.

Jordan, one of our soloists, tried for a Diamond Distance on Sunday. It was a valiant attempt falling just short of the distance but a great result given the weather. He returned 7.5 hours later with just 1,000’ spare for landing at Bidford airfield.
