Midland Spirit Fly-In 2023

The event has been running since 1999 and this year was the 15th year that we have hosted it at Bidford.

The original idea was to get together all the pilots at British Midland Airways who still maintained a passion for flying outside of work. From there it has grown into an annual reunion and is attended by ex-colleagues from all parts of the business; pilots, cabin crew, engineers, operations staff and more recently the event has opened up to other airlines too!

All those attending made donations to The Bidford Junior Gliding Fund. This year the Fly-In was able to donate over £500

We had fly pasts by all sorts of craft

Anyone with a passion for General Aviation was welcomed and we gained dispensation from the CAA to allow flour bombing, spot landing and lots of fun flying.
